Meet Jen Davel:
Jen is a mother, wife of an artist, an herbalist, a traveler, and a backyard chicken enthusiast. After supporting women through childbirth for 8 years, Jen fell in love with yoga. She had been practicing yoga for 6 years before deciding to study for her Vinyasa 200 hour certification. Jen shares the energy and the compassion to support you in the moments in between while you build trust with your inner and outer self. She guides her practice with a deep love and understanding for where you are right now. Her passion lies with finding stillness in the storms, embracing challenges, and hugging trees.
Meet Melissa Benson:
Melissa Benson is a yoga teacher and a Reiki Practitioner.
She completed her 200 hour yoga certification with Lauren Quella at Grace Under Fire yoga, a 40 hour Trauma Informed certification through My Vinyasa Practice in September 2021 and her children’s yoga teacher certification with a trauma informed focus was completed through Yoga Ed in December 2021.
She is in the process of completing her 300 hour yoga certification through My Vinyasa Practice.
Her passion for yoga started almost 10 years ago when she felt the healing effects of yoga on her own mental and physical health. She is passionate about the mind body connection and believes in the power yoga has on releasing emotional pain and stress, reducing anxiety, and improving overall wellness for those mindfully practicing yoga. Melissa seeks to provide a safe, nurturing space to help students of all levels find moments of peace and connectedness. She enjoys combining her gift of energy healing within her yoga practice.
Meet Megan Goerlinger:
Megan has always been an active person who loves sports, which led her to a career in sports medicine. She currently holds certifications in athletic training and yoga instruction. She found yoga to be therapeutic both personally and while working with others through prevention and rehabilitation from injury. Her unique approach offers a combination of Eastern & Western modalities and principles. Her classes focus on breath, body awareness, proper alignment, recovery, balance and myofascial techniques. You can expect a peaceful yet invigorating class. She completed her 200 hour certification through Empower Yoga Studio and is currently working towards her 500 hour certification with Yoga Medicine.
Meet Carol Bolton:
Carol has been practicing yoga since the mid-nineties and teaching at Bay Area Yoga Mindful Movement & Healing Center in Green Bay since 2009, which is where she received her teacher training. In 2018 Carol began to explore the
therapeutic benefits of yoga and is currently enrolled in an accredited training program to become a certified yoga therapist with the IAYT (International Association of Yoga
Therapists) organization. Her training has included many different lineages and methods including the Aștanga system and form of yoga. She utilizes the Vinyasa style which combines the flow of movement and breath to create a
focused, dynamic practice, emphasizing pure movement and appropriate alignment for each practitioner.
To help students grasp the subtle nature of the poses and how they affect the body, mind, and breath, her teaching methods include careful observation of and effective cueing for movement, stillness practices, breath practices, and the use of props. Learning to be truly
present with her students has been one of the most important skills she attributes to effective and caring instruction. Her students have experienced greater ranges of motion,
increased strength, and for many a decrease in pain.
Carol’s other passion is interior design. She believes that there is a strong connection between the spaces that we inhabit and the ways that we feel and live. Form and function, as well as harmony and balance, pertain not only to the places we occupy, but also to our
bodies and our minds.

I absolutely love going to Rooted Yoga! Amber is extremely educated, to the point of making sure you are in positions that will improve your aches and pains slowly but surely. The space is comfortable and after just one class you realize you are in a judgement free safe place, and that allows you to focus on yourself and your health. I cannot believe the amount of flexibility and balance I have gained since joining. I dislike any exercise, but if I have to miss a class my body and soul are saddened. Thank you Amber for improving my life!

I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 15 years. I knew my body needed yoga, but I hated it. I went to numerous yoga studios in the area and would force myself to go and couldn’t wait for the class to be done!! So when I saw Rooted Yoga, right down the street from where I lived, I attended my first class. When I first met Amber I told her, “I hate yoga, but I know my body needs it.” I was dealing with a bad hip and was considering a hip replacement due to a torn labrum and I was also looking into stem cell therapy. So I bought 10 sessions, so I’d be forced to go.
Now, a year and a half later, my hip pain is so minimal due to the deep stretching we do in each class and I’ve become so much more flexible. I don’t dread going to class and I love how knowledgeable Amber is!! I finally found my yoga style!!

Rooted Yoga has given me my life back. Multiple complicated pregnancies and motherhood weekend my core and lower back muscles until eventually they gave out. I lived for years, missing out on life with my littles, in fear of re-injuring my back. Due to regular attendance at Rooted Yoga, I wake up pain free, haven't visited a chiropractor since I started, and most importantly, am running and hiking everywhere my kids want to go. Meeting Amber and joining Rooted Yoga was one of the best decision I've ever made! When I started, I was going through a tough time mentally and didn't know where to turn. Amber was so welcoming and taught me so much, yoga was an integral part of my successful recovery and maintaining it today. Having a background in anatomy myself, it was impressive to see how knowledgeable Amber is, ensuring a safe space to practice. I've even incorporated what she's taught me in my clinical practice, and my athletes are extremely appreciative of it. I've learned through these classes that yoga is a way to connect mind, body, and spirit, which I feel is lost in "main stream" yoga classes. Coming to Rooted Yoga and learning from Amber will benefit you in so many ways and you'll be amazed by how good you feel, both mentally and physically after one of her classes.
